running baxter to cape paterson

Its been some time since I did any real running. That means distances which require building up. For some time leading into London I would go barefoot around St Kilda with our dog at night. Recently though I agreed to doing a 50k trail race with a team. We each have to complete the distance and together. So it got me motivated to start doing some longer runs and yesterday was my first real serious outing. This is the link shows the 20k I did yesterday and as can be seen half of it was spent crossing the soft sand on the way back to Cape Paterson. All up I was pretty happy and sure sore today but loads of fun or at least fun for most of it. The last 5k got interesting as I ran out of energy and various parts of my body like feet, ankles and knees became pretty sore.
